day 2 Sigiriya Rock Fortress
After enjoying breakfast, embark on a journey deeper into the heartland to visit the renowned Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient wonder, attributed to King Kashyapa (477-495 AD), stands majestically amidst the dry zone plains, showcasing remarkable ancient engineering and artistry. Encircled by walls, it encompasses a fortified town sprawling over 70 hectares, featuring moats, ramparts, and extensive gardens, including the famous water gardens. Explore the celebrated frescoes depicting the "Heavenly Maidens," nestled in a sheltered enclave of the rock, accessible via a spiral staircase.
Following your exploration of Sigiriya, proceed to a village where you can partake in a canoe ride and a bullock cart journey. Conclude your excursion with a traditional Sri Lankan village lunch hosted at a local villager's home, accompanied by a cooking demonstration to enrich your cultural experience.

Following a satisfying breakfast, engage in an exhilarating Jeep Safari
adventure at Minneriya National Park. This park showcases the vast
Minneriya Tank and boasts a diverse array of ecosystems, spanning from
dry tropical forests to wetlands, grasslands, and areas formerly
utilized for slash-and-burn agriculture. Its primary allure lies in its
elephant population, playing a pivotal role in connecting Kaudulla and
Wasgomuwa national parks through an elephant corridor. During specific
seasons, you may witness up to 200 elephants migrating through this
area. Furthermore, the park harbors various other mammals such as sambar
deer, spotted deer, sloth bears, and leopards, providing opportunities
to encounter macaques and purple-faced langur monkeys. Additionally,
Minneriya is renowned for its abundant bird life, housing numerous
species, including endemic ones like the Sri Lankan hanging parrot and
the crimson-fronted barbet. After the safari, return to the hotel to

Following breakfast, our itinerary proceeds to Kandy, with an interlude planned at a Spice Garden located in Matale. At this stop, visitors will have the opportunity to delve into the diverse array of spices for which Sri Lanka is renowned. They can observe the cultivation and refining processes of various spices, gaining insight into their significance in Asian culinary traditions, particularly in curry preparations. day 5 The Temple of the Tooth
Following breakfast, begin a
sightseeing excursion of
Kandy, including a
visit to The
Temple of the Tooth, also recognized as
Dalada Maligawa.
This temple, tracing its origins back to the 16th century, predominantly
features 19th-century architectural styles. Upon entry into the shrine,
visitors traverse a moonstone step adorned with a stone representation
of the Indian goddess Lakshmi, along with frescoes depicting Buddhist
interpretations of hell. The upper tiers of the temple house the revered
relic of the tooth, encased within gilded iron bars. Adjacent to the
tooth relic sanctuary, a hall exhibits golden Buddha statues and
contemporary paintings depicting the life of Buddha and the propagation
of Buddhism in the region. In the evening, partake in a traditional
dance performance, offering an enchanting glimpse into Sri Lanka's
dynamic dance legacy.

day 6 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Embark on an unforgettable adventure by heading to Kandy Railway Station
after breakfast to catch the train bound for Nanu Oya, Nuwara Eliya.
Traveling through Sri Lanka's breathtaking landscapes by train is a
must-do experience for any traveler. This particular journey from Kandy
to Nanu Oya is celebrated for its stunning scenery, meandering through
the heart of the hill country amidst verdant greenery. Along the way,
passengers are treated to sweeping vistas of meticulously tended tea
estates, dense forests, and rugged valleys, with the train weaving
through narrow tunnels. Keep a lookout for Tamil tea pickers dressed in
vibrant saris amidst the tea bushes. Following this memorable train
ride, you'll be picked up from Nanu Oya Railway Station and transported
to your hotel for check-in.

Day 7
day 7 Nuwara Eliya City Tour
Following breakfast, commence a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, famously dubbed "the city of dawn," nestled at the highest elevation in Sri Lanka, approximately 2000 meters above sea level. Dominating the skyline is its tallest peak, Piduruthalagala (2555m), visible from the town, rendering it a highly coveted holiday destination for locals and tourists alike.
Nuwara Eliya is celebrated as the epicenter of the tea country, offering the chance to explore a tea plantation and factory to witness the process of crafting the renowned "Ceylon Tea." Additionally, situated around 1.5km away is the Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be erected at the site where Ravna imprisoned Sita, as narrated in the Ramayana. This humble temple hosts an array of statues, including multiple depictions of the goddess Kali.
Following the city tour, proceed with check-out and transfer to Beruwala. Along the way, there will be another opportunity to visit a tea plantation and factory in Nuwara Eliya.

day 8 Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda
After breakfast, embark on a journey to visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda, which is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Established in the early 1978s, this hatchery stands as the oldest Conservation and Research project in Sri Lanka. Dedicated to managing endangered turtle species, it started as a community endeavor to preserve the biodiversity of the southern coast. Today, it operates as a comprehensive hatchery and rescue center, with teams tirelessly working to study, care for, and protect rare turtle species.
Following your visit, head to Balapitiya, just a 10-minute drive away, and continue your adventure with a boat safari along the Madu River. This scenic river, situated near Galle in the southern part of the island, offers a haven for nature enthusiasts. During your leisurely boat ride, keep an eye out for crocodiles and water monitors gliding beneath the surface, while endemic birds of prey soar overhead. Along the way, you'll make a stop at Koth Duwa, a small island adorned with a beautiful temple and a Buddha statue.

day 9 City Tour in Galle
After breakfast, you can either relax and enjoy the luxurious amenities
of your beach resort or opt for an excursion to the Galle Fort. This
historical enclave, surrounded by the 17th-century Dutch Fort walls,
holds UNESCO World Heritage status. Take a leisurely stroll along the
ramparts from Point Utrecht bastion to Flag Rock bastion, soaking in
panoramic views of the ancient harbor, once known as Tarshish in
biblical times. Along the way, you'll encounter landmarks such as the
District Court and the original Fort entrance, before reaching the Dutch
Reformed Church, dating back to the 17th century. Further exploration
leads to the New Town area, which faced significant damage during the
2004 tsunami but now boasts rebuilt attractions, including the renowned
International cricket stadium.
