    Itinerary

    Day 1

    day 1 DELHI ARRIVAL

    Arrival at New Delhi airport. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your hotel Delhi.

    Day 2

    day 2 DELHI SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast at hotel, head for a full day guided tour which includes visit to sights both in Old Delhi & New Delhi. Start in Raj Ghat at the memorial dedicated to the Mahatma Gandhi, then visit the imposing red sandstone fort called the Red Fort, followed by a ride in a cycle rickshaw in the crowded but interesting market of Chandni Chowk. Second part of the tour will involve visiting New Delhi - including Lutyen's Delhi that comprises of the British colonial President's House, and a World War I memorial arch called India Gate. Later in the day visit Mughal emperor Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar (India's tallest stone tower) and a more modern Lotus Temple, so named because of its flower shaped structure. After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Delhi.

    Day 3

    day 3 DELHI TO AGRA BY TRAIN

    Transfer to railway station to catch your express train to Agra. You get your breakfast on the train. On arrival in Agra, pick-up from railway station and head straight to the Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the Word, the Taj Mahal stands tall as a pristine symbol of eternal love. Also visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort made of red sandstone. Check-in & overnight at your hotel in Agra.

    Day 4

    day 4 AGRA TO JAIPUR BY ROAD

    Option to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast. Thereafter embark on a five-hour drive to Jaipur. En route, visit the UNESCO World Heritage complex of Fatehpur Sikri, that was built in 16th century and abandoned later due to water scarcity. Continue to Jaipur and check in at your hotel upon arrival. Evening free to spend at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 5

    day 5 JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

    Breakfast at hotel. Start your sightseeing with a visit to the Amer Fort, located on the outskirts. Built on a hilltop, this 16th century fort looks quite formidable with its imposing walls and ramparts. Thereafter, return to city limits to visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, Hawa Mahal (The palace of winds) & Jal Mahal (The palace on water). After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 6

    day 6 JAIPUR TO KOCHI (COCHIN) BY FLIGHT

    Breakfast at hotel. Later transfer to airport to catch your flight to Kochi (formerly known as Cochin). You have an option of stopping in the bustling city of Mumbai - known for Bollywood (India's version of Hollywood). On your arrival at Kochi airport, transfer to & overnight at your hotel in Kochi.

    Day 7

    day 7 KOCHI TO ALLEPPEY (BACKWATER CRUISE)

    Breakfast at hotel, drive to Alleppey. Alleppey is interlocked with a large number of canals and bridges and is therefore referred to as the Venice of East. Board a houseboat and enjoy a cruise through enchanting backwaters. Dinner aboard the houseboat only. The houseboat will moor up at Vemabanadu Lake for overnight stay in your houseboat.

    Day 8

    day 8 ALLEPPEY - MARARI BEACH

    Breakfast in your house-boat. Then disembark and head to a beach resort located on the famous Marari Beach by the Arabian Sea. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your resort in Marari beach area.

    Day 9

    day 9 MARARI BEACH

    Breakfast at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure for basking in the sun, swimming ...... Overnight at your resort.

    Day 10

    day 10 MARARI BEACH

    Breakfast at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure for relaxing, reading a book, or perhaps indulging in some water-sports! Overnight at your resort.

    Day 11

    day 11 MARARI BEACH TO KOCHI BY ROAD

    Breakfast at hotel, followed by city tour of Kochi (formerly known as Cochin). Visit the Portuguese Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue & see how fish is caught in Chinese fishing nets on bamboo harnesses. Head to Fort Kochi beach area and visit St. Francis Church. Overnight at your hotel in Kochi.

    Day 12

    day 12 KOCHI DEPARTURE

    Breakfast at hotel. Possibly some time to shop for spices and condiments, before transfer to Kochi airport to connect to your flight home.

    Day 1
